With news of this opening, it's shaping up to be a big year for Jing-A, who made headlines recently with when they announced Danish lager giant Carlsberg had made a minority investment in the Beijing craft beer brand. ![]() It's another win for this up-and-coming neighborhood, with Jing-A joining the likes of M Woods Gallery, the Beijing flagship store for Burton, the newest rendition of baijiu bar Capital Spirits, and our friends from Vietnamese restaurant Susu. Throughout this soft-open period they are offering all-day happy hour prices, which means RMB 10 off all beers and draft cocktails. The venue will have its official soft opening mode this Friday, Aug 30 prior to its grand opening party on the following Friday, Sep 6. In contrast to their nooky Xingfucun location, which has always focussed on smoked barbecue and pub-grub fare, the new venue creeps in on new territory, serving thin-crust sourdough pizza from their custom-built brick oven. Jing-A Executive Chef Simone Thompson has designed a menu that features eight different launch pizzas, including classics like the Margherita, and more innovative styles like the “Catch of the Day,” a white sauce and seafood pizza with prawns, and the Yunnan Mushroom, made with mushrooms and truffle from China's southern province. ![]() We're excited to announce that the brand-new Jing-A Taproom, just northwest of Dongsi subway station, is almost open for business! The venue, located within the Longfusi compound at 38 Qianliang Hutong, is the third from the successful local craft brewers. While their original beloved Sanlitun 1949 venue has since closed, the design of this Dongsi location picks up where it left off, with large skylights and a big U-shaped bar surrounded by high tables and booths.
